Almost There...
It has been quite a humid stretch of weather with periodic tropical downpours and storms. The same pattern remains in place this morning, but thankfully it is on it's way out. We just have to make it through today...which will still be quite warm and tropical. The heaviest rain of the early morning has shifted off the coast with still a few lingering heavy downpours tracking from Worcester county into southern New Hampshire. Clouds continue to steam up the coast with the humid SW flow aloft...but the day will become progressively better by afternoon.
Sunshine is breaking in western New England during the late morning. That clearing line will be shifting from west to east during the afternoon. Clouds will hold tough through most of the day along the coast and beaches...but by 3 or 4...clouds should begin to this and break even at the coast. The cold front will be slow sliding into New England during this time. Any Sunshine and SW winds will quickly warm temps into the Lwr-mid 80's. With available moisture with dewpoints in the Lwr 70's, this front will provide just enough lift to trigger a few more pop up showers or storms during the afternoon hours..especially inland and away from the coast. The beaches will be a bit more stable because of the cloud cover. Of course, as has been the case...any T'storm will come with some locally heavy rain. I do not anticipate any widespread outbreak or severe weather. More garden variety pop up pulse showers or storms are more likely.
Clouds will continue to ride up and hug the coast during the evening hours. As the front pushes off the coast tonight, the trend will be for clearing skies overnight with falling humidity. A better evening for viewing the Perseid meteor showers develops...especially during the early morning hours where the view of the Crescent moon, Jupiter & Venus will be seen in the Eastern sky. Pretty cool stuff fo the stargazers out there!
Sunshine and fair weather clouds Monday with a more comfortable humidity. Warming west winds will still allow temps to climb to near 85-88 degrees both Monday & Tuesday. Great beach days ahead! Meanwhile another upper low will be digging into the Great Lakes AGAIN for the midweek. This will provide SW winds aloft to begin to transport warmer temps and more humidity along with increasing cloudiness for late Tuesday and Wednesday...Scattered showers of a few Thunderstorms will be possible Tuesday night & Wednesday morning before the front passes and bringing in warm more comfortable air for the end of the week with a weak upper level ridge for Thursday inot Friday.
