All Things Travel: JetBlue May Start Landing In Worcester
WORCESTER (CBS) - JetBlue Airlines may start flights at Worcester airport.
Dave Barger, president of jetBlue, visited Worcester for the second time this week.
Barger plans to meet with city and state officials at a luncheon hosted by Massport and the city of Worcester on Wednesday.
Massport runs the Worcester Airport and is offering major incentives for any new airline that begins flying from there.
JetBlue is the largest carrier at Logan Airport and the airline has already announced that on November 28 they will begin new flights from Rhode Island's T.F. Green Airport to Florida.
Many state officials are expected to attend the luncheon including, Lt. Governor Tim Murray, Massachusetts Secretary of Transportation and Massport Board Chairman Richard Davey, Worcester Mayor Joseph Petty, among other city and Massport officials.
