Ainge to Tanguay "Pierce reports are premature."
I talked to Danny Ainge tonight and he says the team doesn't yet know the extent of Paul Pierce's foot injury, despite an NBA.com report saying it was broken.
"We just don't know," the Celts' General Manager said. "We basically don't know the extent of the injury. The doctors don't have all the information to make the decision. We expect to make an announcement tomorrow."
Pierce was seen on the team plane after Monday's win in Washington without crutches or a walking boot and was walking without a noticeable limp.
