Acton, Maine Woman Charged With Stealing Money From Tip Jar At NH Coffee Shop

ROCHESTER, N.H. (CBS) - An Acton, Maine woman is charged with stealing money from a tip jar at a New Hampshire coffee shop in November, police say.

Nicole Sprague, 19, was arrested and charged with theft after allegedly stealing money from the jar at the drive-through window while an employee made her a drink at Aroma Joe's on Highland Street.

It's unclear how much money was stolen.

Based on a surveillance image, the woman appeared to be wearing a blue sweatshirt while driving a grey sedan at the time of the incident.

Rochester Police took to their Facebook page Monday to thank people for sharing their post in November and for providing tips to help with the investigation.

Sprague was released on $2,500 bail and is slated to appear in court on March 9, police say.
