Active Weather Pattern Returns

We will squeeze out one more decent day today. Sun will give way to clouds as the day progresses.  High pressure will lose its grip while a warm front and apporaching low pressure system make their move.   Highs will hover near 40F degrees today with a light southerly breeze.

Rain/snow will push in from the south mainly after midnight tonight.  We will have to watch for slick conditions especially for interior locales.

Otherwise, we can expect a changeover to rain for the majority of our viewing area from Friday morning through the afternoon.

As the evening approaches, the rain will begin to mix with snow. The tail end of the storm Friday evening will include snow showers before coming to a complete halt early Friday night.

***One of the main concerns will be potential flooding with QPF showing 1-2" of rainfall.  Areas across Northern New England can expect 6"+ of snow. Southern NH and VT may receive 1-4" of snow.  That's great news for ski country!  ***Also, we will need to be prepared for very gusty winds as the storm passes. These gusty winds will linger through the first half of Saturday.

Here are the current warnings, watches, and advisories.

Weekend Forecast:  Saturday will include partly cloudy skies with highs in the middle 30s. Northwest winds will be gusty, but they'll begin to calm as the day approaches evening.  Sunday will include light snow for the first half (light accums possible), while the latter half will be mostly cloudy. Highs will be in the middle to upper 30s.
