Absentee Ballot Deadline: Midday Monday
BOSTON (AP) - Secretary of State William Galvin says the deadline is approaching for Massachusetts residents who want to vote by absentee ballot in the statewide elections.
The deadline to apply is noon on Monday, Nov. 1, the day before the general election, which includes the race for governor and various congressional seats.

Voters who expect to be absent from their community on Election Day may cast an absentee ballot.
The same is true for voters who have a physical disability or religious beliefs preventing them from voting on Election Day.
Ballots from voters who intend to mail them must arrive at their local election office before 8 p.m. on Election Day.
Ballots from outside the United States must be postmarked by November 2.
They will be counted if they arrive within 10 days of the election.
