Abraham On Toucher & Rich: Sox Got More For Youkilis Than Once Thought
It was known for sometime that the Red Sox were looking to move Kevin Youkilis and on Sunday it all went down.
Youkilis started at third base in his final game with the Red Sox on Sunday against the Atlanta Braves, going 2-4. Youkilis tripled in the seventh inning in his last at bat and then was pulled by Bobby Valentine for a pinch runner.

The Red Sox traded Youk to the Chicago White Sox and acquired pitcher Zach Stewart and utility infielder Brent Lillibridge.
Peter Abraham joined 98.5 The Sports Hub's Toucher & Rich to discuss the trade of the veteran infielder and what the Sox got back in return.
The Sox got pitcher Zach Stewart and utility infielder Brent Lillibridge from the White Sox, was this as good as Boston was going to get?
"It was a lot more then I thought they were going to get. I'm a little surprised they got guys who have been in the major leagues. I thought they were going to get a B-level prospect or something like that."
The guys went on to break down what type of guy Stewart is and will he make a difference this year? Zach Stewart is a 25 year-old pitcher that has struggled in the major leagues, but people still like his talent.
"He's been traded for good players which I guess reflect well on Youk, but he's also been traded three times in the last four years."
"I don't know that this is a guy who's going to make a dramatic change for the Red Sox, but this is at least a guy who in, I don't know, a couple years maybe could end up being a helpful player."
Did the White Sox get a steal now that Youkilis is theoretically healthy? Does Abraham think Youk goes back to being the old Youkilis for the second half of this season?
"I don't know that he's at a point where he can dial it back to being the old Kevin Youkilis, but Orlando Hudson, who the White Sox were playing at third base is a second baseman, so they were desperate for a regular third baseman."
Utility infielder Brent Lillibridge could be part of the 25 man roster as early as today and many would compare him to Nick Punto. How does Abraham feel about this addition?
"I thought the fact that he was coming to the major leagues struck me as a little strange because it does seem redundant to have him and Punto on the roster at the same time. But yeah, this is a guy who plays everywhere, he's got decent speed, hits lefties okay."
What will happen when Carl Crawford comes back? Will it hurt some of the momentum the team has right now?
