Defense Makes Bid To Suppress Evidence From Aaron Hernandez's Phones

FALL RIVER (CBS/AP) — Former New England Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez returned to court Monday in connection with the murder of Odin Lloyd.

Judge Susan Garsh heard arguments in Fall River Superior Court about a motion to suppress evidence in the case, specifically various recording devices taken from Aaron Hernandez's home. The devices are a couple of cellphones, three iPpads, a video recorder and a hard drive.

Those devices may have taken photos that prosecutors want to use against Hernandez.

Garsh took the motion to suppress under advisement.

The judge has already denied a motion to suppress regarding the video recorder and hard drive.  Now the focus is on what cellphones were covered in a search warrant.

The attorneys and Garsh also agreed to keep a change of venue hearing on Oct. 30.

Lloyd's body was found in an industrial park near Hernandez's home in June 2013.

Lloyd was dating Hernandez's fiancee's sister.

The former Patriot has pleaded not guilty and is being held without bail.

Hernandez is also charged with killing two men in Boston in 2012.

According to the clerk's office, Hernandez is due back in Suffolk Superior Court Thursday at 2:00 p.m. for  a status hearing on the Boston charges.
