AAA: Local gasoline prices jump 4 cents
For the first time since April, we're seeing a substantial rise in the local price of gasoline.
AAA of Southern New England reports that self-serve regular is selling on average at $2.63 a gallon, up four cents from last week.
That's still below the national average of $2.71.
Spokeswoman Mary McGuire says a rise in the price of oil and the shutdown of a shipping lane in the Gulf of Mexico are to blame.

McGuire says prices overall aren't too bad, given that they have been stable for much of the year.
Prices range from a low of $2.50 to a high of $2.89. McGuire says you should be shopping for gas in the low $2.50's to the low $2.60's.
