A Showery, Cool Period Ahead

This Labor Day is going to be warm and muggy.

There will be chance of showers and thunderstorms by this evening as a cold front SLOWLY moves from west to east.

Highs will be in the upper 70s to lower 80s.

Winds will be gusty from the south.

Rain will be heavy at times tonight and early Tuesday morning as a slow-moving cold front pushes to our east.

Flash Flood watches are in effect for central and western Massachusetts and portions of Vermont and NH from this afternoon through Tuesday morning.

The same front will be hovering around southern New England through Thursday.

Consequently, we will hold onto showers in the forecast for Wednesday and Thursday.

Additionally, high temperatures will be much cooler in the 60s.

Atlantic Tropical Update: 

Hurricane Katia is still a CAT 2...winds of 100mph...moving NW @ 12mph.  Some strengthening is expected today. T.D. Lee is still creating heavy rain and flooding as it moves ENE @ 7mph.
