A Little Better...

By no means a perfect day but it was certainly better as we broke into sunshine in the afternoon.  A few showers and thunderstorms have developed in the heating of the day but are weakening as we approach sunset and later tonight clouds and fog will reform.

Tomorrow should end up similar to today...the backdoor front now appears like it will hold off until late in the day so a cloudy start with some midday sun and once again the threat of late day showers and thunderstorms with the primary threat from them being heavy downpours and cloud to ground lightning.

The front will have cleared the area on Sunday morning and the air will be noticeably cooler in the wake of it with cool E/NE winds.  Low clouds will spread back in from the Gulf of Maine and will be tough to burn off but some partial sunshine will be seen especially inland during the afternoon.  Highs will be on the chilly side...50s coast and low 60s inland.

A warmfront will approach and pass through Sunday night and early Monday morning...showers will be possible during that time.  More importantly, a flow of warm air will commence and highs in the 70s will be common early next week...maybe even 80!
