A Brief Push of Heat & Humidity...
Not much else to say in regards to this weather. Just an awesome summer day out there with sunshine, warm temps in the 80's and moderate humidity. It all is making for a perfect weather combo. High pressure pulls off the coast later today and warmer more humid air will begin to wrap in Monday. Dewpoints will climb back into the 60's with Partly Sunny skies. Many areas will approach 90 degrees Monday. The only spot for a little relief will be on the Cape...80-85. The Heat & Humidity will continue to build to through Tuesday. Dangerous heat is in place in the south and midwest with highs over 100 and Heat index near 110-115. We will be tapping briefly into this airmass. By Tuesday, under hazy hot humid conditions, temps will climb to 90-95 and dewpoints in the lwr 70. Ugh. A good day for staying cool in the air condition. We will have to track afternoon thunderstorms erupting ahead of a cold front by Tuesday afternoon. Some may become strong to severe. This front will break the Hot spell by Wednesday...but it will still be warm in the 80's. Cooler drier less humid air returns for Thursday Friday and Saturday with plenty of sunshine. Highs 80-84. Summer Lovers rejoice!
The UV index is very high today so please make sure to apply and reapply the sunscreen through the day on you and the kids if you plan on being at the beach or pool. Lots of water everywhere!
