79-Year-Old Man Randomly Stabbed In Newton Grocery Store, Police Say
NEWTON (CBS) -- A man was arrested outside a Star Market after police said he stabbed another man.
The stabbing occurred inside the Newton grocery store on Commonwealth Avenue around 3 p.m. Monday.
Police said the suspect, 23-year-old Matthew Muradov, stabbed a 79-year-old man.
The victim was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Muradov is charged with Armed Assault with intent to murder and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.
