7-Year-Old Nearly Drowns At Shrewsbury Pool
SHREWSBURY (CBS) – A seven-year-old boy was rushed to the hospital after nearly drowning at St. John's High School in Shrewsbury on Thursday.
The incident happened shortly after 2 p.m. during a camp for kids.
State Police have taken over the investigation.
The boy was taken to UMass Memorial Memorial Medical Center in Worcester. There is no word on his condition.

Parents tell WBZ-TV that the camp has an impeccable record when it comes to safety.
Camp St. John is for kids age 5-12, and runs until the beginning of August.
