7 Day Workweek...

People have been asking me how my weekend was I have been telling them I had no weekend...last week was a seven day workweek.  I spent the entire weekend on the roof shoveling then chipping away ice dams because just like many of you water was getting in the house.  I am exhausted but it worked...the leaks have stopped!  Now we just need this barrage of storms to quit!

Well, guess what, it looks like we will catch a break this week with only a couple of weak systems and NO major storms.  Tonight snow and cold are working in from the west and warmth and rain from the south.  These two don't appear to phase in time to give us a big storm so periods of rain and snow through tomorrow early in the afternoon.  Temps tonight and early tomorrow morning will stay mild so even if it does snow roads will be just wet.  Tomorrow afternoon however a coldfront driven by a pretty potent vort max will drive thru the region, this will one final snow burst or maybe even some snow squalls and with falling temps it will likely start sticking...up to an inch in Boston but 1-3" to the N&W...some of the higher elevations in the SW NH and Western Mass may get as much as 5".  So, in summary, I expect tomorrow evening's commute to be more troublesome than the AM...especially with the falling temps and black ice concerns.

Arctic air pours in thru the midweek with highs only in the 20s and overnight lows in the single digits.

Over the weekend, temps moderate from the lower 30s on Saturday to near or slightly over 40 on Sunday...that transition should be enough to produce some light snow Saturday night into Sunday morning.
