7 Arrested After Fights At Brockton High School Graduation

BROCKTON (AP) — Police say seven men were arrested when three separate fights broke out at a Massachusetts high school graduation ceremony.

Brockton Police Lt. William Hallisey says Brockton High School administrators didn't miss a beat and continued calling the names of graduates as officers responded to the melees during the Friday evening ceremony.

The school's principal says she and the graduates didn't know the fights were happening. No graduates were among those arrested.

Police say the fights were separate from each other and occurred in different locations around the school's football stadium. Police are still investigating but believe they were gang-related.

Tom Minichiello, a school committee member, calls the brawlers "totally classless."

A bystander uploaded a video of one fight to YouTube. Hallisey says it will likely be used in court.
