7 Andover Students Face Punishment Hearings For Role In Sexual Hazing Incident
ANDOVER (CBS) - The lawyer for the Andover High School basketball captain facing expulsion over an alleged sexual hazing incident over the summer says his client is cooperating with the school and is very upset by all that has happened.

Andover High School is planning to expel two of the students and suspend at least five others.
Arthur Broadhurst, the captain's lawyer, said there is a process for the punishment though, starting with a suspension hearing Friday before the principal.
WBZ-TV's Beth Germano reports.
"There seems to be a rush to judgment saying they have been expelled and suspended and that's not true. But, there are hearings scheduled and my client will participate and cooperate," said Broadhurst.
"Obviously he is upset, his family is upset. I think the community is upset. He is going to cooperate and move through the process as it happens," Broadhurst continued.
Regarding the victims involved, Broadhurst said what happened over the summer is "terrible."
"I'm sure they're distraught and their families are distraught and I know my client's family and he himself is upset by what's gone on and for the victims," said Broadhurst. "And we're going to go through the process cooperate the best we can and hopefully at the end of the day all of the people involved can move on and learn from this."
Broadhurst hopes the punishment process will be fair.
"They are high school kids. There is no excuse if what happened here happened. But let's not forget, they should have a chance down the road to rehabilitate themselves and move on," said Broadhurst.
