Firefighters had to tap so many hydrants, water pressure became low. As a result, the fire department has asked neighbors to conserve water for at least a day to help replenish the supply.

According to its web site, the inn dates back to 1678 and claims to be one of the oldest operating inns in America.
Current and former employees told WBZ-TV the inn's owner had been trying to sell it, but a deal fell through last December.
There's no word yet on how or where the fire started.
