3 Killed, Bystander Shot At Jamaica Plain Pizza Shop

BOSTON (CBS/AP) - Three people were killed and a bystander was shot Sunday night at a Jamaica Plain pizza shop. Boston Police say an argument between three men inside the Same Old Place restaurant on Centre Street turned into gunfire outside on the street.

Bill Shields reports, WBZ-TV

According to police, two young men were seated at a table, when a third man entered the restaurant, and approached the two seated men. There were angry words, then a knife was pulled, then a gun.

When officers responded to the scene Sunday evening, they found one man suffering from stab wounds and two others with gunshot wounds. The man suffering from stab wounds was considered a suspect in the shooting. All three men later died.

Police are still not releasing the names of the victims. Two of the men were  21-years old and the third was 28.

On the street, Eric Vila said one of the victims was named "Bo." Villa said he had just left his friend sitting at the table. "I guess someone got disrespected, then someone got stabbed, then shot," said Vila.

A woman, described as an innocent passer-by, was treated and released after a bullet apparently grazed her leg, police said.

Police have stepped up patrols in the area in response.

Same Old Place restaurant was open for business today, despite the fact there were four bullet holes at various places in the restaurant. The regulars were there too. "It's the safest place around," said Jean Nichols, "something like this could happen anywhere -- the cleaners, or the post office."
