Kids Playing With Lighter Sparked 5-Alarm Fire In Lowell
LOWELL (CBS) - A five-alarm fire that damaged three buildings in Lowell appears to have been started by kids who were playing with a lighter.
According to police, three triple-decker buildings on Willow and Chestnut Streets were on fire Friday afternoon.
The Red Cross says 28 people have been displaced. One building that caught fire was vacant at the time.
The Red Cross has opened a shelter at the Lowell Senior Center.
Lowell fire officials say there are no known injuries at this time.
