3 Local Small Businesses Get $454,000 From EPA
BOSTON (AP) - Three small businesses in Massachusetts have received a combined $454,000 from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency to develop new technologies to promote clean air and drinking water.
The three Massachusetts projects are among 10 selected nationwide.
Aspen Products Group Inc. of Marlborough received $295,000 to develop a low-cost approach to reducing hazardous or air pollutant emissions from commercial kitchens.
OPTRA Inc. of Topsfield received $79,638 to develop a system for high sensitivity detection of air toxic compounds.
Reactive Innovations LLC of Littleton received $79,994 to develop a system to improve drinking water disinfection systems available for small communities.
