3-Alarm Quincy Fire Causes $600K In Damage

QUINCY (CBS) -- An early-morning fire in Quincy caused an estimated $600,000 in damage on Sunday.

Quincy fire officials said no one was seriously hurt in the three-alarm blaze at 12 Bent Terrance. Six firefighters were injured after slipping on ice, but they were back to work on Sunday, the fire department said.

Three people who were home at the time were able to get out safely. One cat died in the fire, officials said.

The fire is believed to have started in the second-floor kitchen of the four-family house. The cause of the fire is not yet known.

The Red Cross is housing three displaced occupants.
