26 Dogs Rescued From Hoarding Case On South Shore
BOSTON (CBS) - More than two dozen dogs recovered in a hoarding case on the South Shore are all expected to recover, the MSPCA-Angell announced on Sunday.
The 26 dogs, mostly purebred Cairn terriers, were rescued over the weekend. They were found filthy, scared and in need of care.
The dogs are all expected to recover and be put up for adoption. The owner gave them up voluntarily.
"We are very relieved to have rescued these dogs from a desperate situation and to provide them the critical care they will need to recover and find loving forever homes," said Amanda Kennedy, Director, MSPCA-Angell's Animal Care and Adoption Center.
That owner's name is being withheld pending a criminal investigation.
