25-Year-Old Shot & Killed In Car In Brockton
BROCKTON, Ma. (AP) — Authorities say a man was killed in a drive-by shooting in Brockton.
Plymouth County District Attorney Timothy J. Cruz says emergency personnel were called at about 2:25 a.m. Saturday and found the victim inside a vehicle.
The victim was identified as 25-year-old Christopher Rosario of Dorchester.
Cruz says a preliminary investigation revealed the victim and his passenger had left a nightclub with the victim driving. As they were travelling east on Grove Street, Cruz says, an unknown vehicle pulled along the driver's side of the vehicle and began shooting into the vehicle.
The victim was struck, causing the vehicle to veer off the road and crash into a fence.
An autopsy by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner will determine the cause of death.
Police are investigating.
