2 Teens Charged With Robbing Woman In Wheelchair In Lowell
LOWELL (CBS) – Two teenagers have been charged with robbing a woman in a wheelchair in Lowell.
Amparo Delgado was with her daughter and 7-year-old grandson on Tuesday, on their way to a McDonald's to celebrate the end of the school year when the robbery occurred.
Prosecutors said 18-year-old Dara Ream of Lowell and a 16-year-old cohort ran up to the victims at North Common Park on Tuesday. The 16-year-old had a gun and demanded money.
Delgado begged the teens to leave them alone, but they took $12 and a cellphone before a passer-by scared them off.
