2 Survive Small Plane Crash In Martha's Vineyard
OAK BLUFFS (AP) - Massachusetts state police say two people survived the crash of a small plane on a beach on Martha's Vineyard.
Authorities say a 67-year-old man and a 45-year-old woman who both live on the island were taken to Martha's Vineyard Hospital as a precaution after their single-engine plane crashed on State Beach in Oak Bluffs shortly after 9 p.m. Saturday. Their names haven't been released. No one else was on the plane.
It's not clear why the plane crashed. The man was the pilot.
Police say state aeronautics officials are expected to begin an investigation Sunday to try to determine what went wrong.
