2 Men Arrested In Connection With Everett Bank Robbery
EVERETT (CBS) – Police arrested two men on Friday and charged them in connection with an attempted robbery at Century Bank in Everett the previous day.
On Thursday, police responded to reports of an attempted robbery at the bank on Route 16 in Everett. Officers said 34-year-old Robert Giannino attempted to flee the scene in getaway car driven by 48-year-old James Gordon Chase.

Officials said Chase accelerated toward an officer after a pursuit, and the officer fired his weapon. Chase, who was hit, and his vehicle were later tracked down in Saugus, and he was taken to Mass General Hospital.
The suspects are set to be arraigned at Malden District Court on Monday.
