2 Killed In Andover Crash; Woman Charged With Drunk Driving
ANDOVER (AP) - State police say a second man has died following a highway crash in which a motorist was charged with drunken driving.
Police said Sunday that Joseph A. Coppola of Malden died Saturday. He was 57.
He was a passenger in a Chevrolet Blazer driven by 62-year-old Francis O'Hanley of Saugus who died shortly after the crash, which occurred Saturday just before 7 a.m.
A 21-year-old Lawrence woman was been charged with drunken driving. State police said Shayna Fernandez was speeding when her Acura collided with the Blazer in the northbound lanes of Interstate 93 in Andover.
State police said Fernandez, who was not injured, was arrested at the scene.
Fernandez is due to be arraigned in Lawrence District Court on Monday on a charge of operating under the influence, and police say additional charges will be filed.
