At a briefing Monday, Gov. John Lynch said two firefighters were hurt in the storm response. One was injured by a live wire, the other was seriously hurt when a tree fell on him in Stratford.

230 people went to Emergency Rooms across the state after Irene struck.

42 state roads and 200 local streets, most in the White Mountains, remain closed.
