Brighter days are on the weather menu for the weekend.

Watch Melissa's forecast:

High temperatures will only be in the 65-70F range today.

Friday is going to be the transition day as the sunshine gradually increases throughout the day.

We will have a  murky start though. High temperatures will make a comeback as the mercury climbs intp the upper 70s/near 80F.

This Weekend:

A partly sunny sky will blanket the region on Saturday. There will be more clouds/isolated shower for the South Coast/Cape/Islands.

However, there will be more sunshine the farther north that you live.

Sunday will be a partly cloudy day. Highs will be between 70-75F all weeekend.

Atlantic Tropical Update: 

Hurricane Katia is still a CAT 1...90mph winds...moving north @ 14mph.   Now, we are also watching T.S. Maria and Nate. Maria is forecast to maintain tropical storm status as it edges its way closer to the U.S..  Most long range models DO NOT have Maria making landfall in the U.S..
