2 Charged With Robbery At MBTA Train Station
BOSTON (CBS) -- An MBTA worker at the Maverick Station on the Blue Line tackled a robbery suspect Thursday night.
Sean Snellman, 32, of Watertown is under arrest and charged with unarmed robbery after authorities say he robbed a woman who was waiting for a train in the station.
Also arrested was Brittney Grisolia, 20, who was with Snellman at the time. Police found knives on both Snellman and Grisolia, and 15 hypodermic needles in Grisolia's bag.

MBTA employee Ira Lawrence says he was at the Maverick Station around 11:30 p.m. Thursday when a woman came onto the platform holding two clutch purses and waited for the train.
WBZ-TV's Kate Merrill reports.
As the train approached and the woman walked toward the train, Lawrence and other witnesses told police Snellman ran past the woman and grabbed her bags, only getting a hold of one of them.

Lawrence says as Snellman tried to leave the station he dropped the bag, went back to pick it up and that's when Lawrence tackled him.
"Nothing was going through my mind. I saw it happen and just responded," said Lawrence. "The girl was standing there minding her business and I didn't think it was right for them to go up and snatch her purse like that."

Another witness said Grisolia tried to leave the station and was told to stand with Lawrence.
Snellman and Grisolia were arraigned in East Boston District Court Friday. Snellman was held on $5,000 cash bail. Grisolia was released and promised to return to court.
