Police said a custodian discovered the bodies at 6:45 a.m. behind the building.

Children did not see the bodies, investigators said, and school was closed for the day.  It's not known when it will re-open.

It's not clear yet how the women died, but Essex County District Attorney Jonathan Blodgett said there were "obvious signs of foul play" and that it was a homicide scene.

Police identified one of the women as 54-year-old Donna Breau of Lynn. Breau's daughter says the other woman was Donna's mother, Melba Trahant.

Lynn Police are assisting in the investigation and were at the home where Breau and her mother lived on Sheridan Street until late Tuesday night.

Anyone with information is asked to call Saugus or State Police.
