15 More Accused Clients Named In Maine Zumba Prostitution Scandal
KENNEBUNK, Maine (CBS/AP) — Police in Kennebunk, Maine, have released 15 more names of accused clients in a high-profile prostitution case, bringing the number to 54.
The names were posted Friday on the Kennebunk Police Blotter along with the names of other people arrested for unrelated reasons this past week.
The case of a dance instructor accused of turning her Zumba studio into a place of prostitution has captured people's attention, and there's been speculation about who's on the client list.
A lawyer who's seen the list says it includes the names of more than 150 men, some of them prominent. But the 15 names released Friday didn't include anyone who appeared to be especially prominent.
Alexis Wright of nearby Wells has pleaded not guilty to 106 counts including prostitution, invasion of privacy and tax-related counts. Her accused business partner also has pleaded not guilty.
