100-Pound Bronze Plaque Stolen From NH VFW Post
MERRIMACK, N.H. (CBS/AP) — A 100-pound bronze plaque has been stolen from the front of the Veterans of Foreign Wars post in Merrimack, New Hampshire, according to police.
The 2-foot-by-2-foot plaque is a replica of the national VFW seal.
It's worth about $2,000.
Michael Theroux, the local post manager and state VFW's sergeant at arms, says it's a key piece of the building's honor wall.
Police believe it was stolen sometime during the last two weeks.
They are offering a $1,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of the person or people who took the plaque.
Anyone with a tip should call 603-424-2424.
