Would-Be Bank Robber Flees Empty-Handed When Teller Hits Alarm
ROCKVILLE, Md. (AP) -- Montgomery County Police say a man who tried to rob a bank fled when he saw a teller pushing the alarm.
It happened about 3:15 p.m. Tuesday at the BB&T bank on Rockville Pike. Police say the man walked into the bank and gave a teller a note that implied he was armed and demanded money.
The suspect ran away after the teller pushed the alarm.
