Women's History To Be Discussed In Baltimore
BALTIMORE (AP) -- First Lady Katie O'Malley will join Baltimore Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake and U.S. Interior Secretary Ken Salazar to host a town hall discussion on efforts to preserve the accomplishments of women throughout U.S. history.
The discussion will be held Tuesday at the Maryland Women's Heritage Center in Baltimore.
The Interior Department's National Park Service plays a big role in telling American history. However, less than 8 percent of the National Park System is estimated to be dedicated to women or women's achievements.
The town hall will focus on how to tell women's stories in American history.
