Police: Woman, Gunman Fatally Shot In Kensington
KENSINGTON, Md. (AP) -- Montgomery County police say a woman has been fatally shot in Kensington by a gunman who apparently later shot himself.
Authorities said in a news release that Heather Lynn McGuire, 36, of Rockville was found dead Tuesday morning at Connecticut and Knowles avenues. Police were searching for Philip Joseph Gilberti, 51, on a first-degree murder warrant in her death.
Authorities found his body Tuesday night inside a house in Rockville.
Investigators said they believed the two were in a relationship and that the shooting was domestic in nature.
Police Chief J. Thomas Manger previously said the shooting took place as the two were in a minivan heading south on Connecticut Avenue, and that Gilberti was believed to have pushed the victim out of the vehicle.
