Woman Sentenced For Failing To Pay Restitution
WESTMINSTER, Md. (AP) -- A woman who embezzled hundreds of thousands of dollars from a Carroll County school has been sentenced to jail for failing to pay restitution.
Wendy Sue Bowers, 43, was sentenced to 18 months in jail on Wednesday. She will be allowed to go on work release.
In 2006, Bowers pleaded guilty to felony theft scheme for stealing $228,000 from South Carroll High School. She was sentenced to 15 months in jail.
