Woman Pleads Guilty In Attack On Pregnant Woman
ROCKVILLE, Md. (AP) -- Prosecutors say a woman who shocked a pregnant woman several times with a stun gun has pleaded guilty in the assault.
Thirty-nine-year-old Christine Renee Devaux of Monrovia pleaded guilty on Wednesday to first-degree assault and first-degree burglary. She has agreed to a 13-year prison sentence and will be formally sentenced on May 10.
Court documents indicated the pregnant woman attacked in her Montgomery County home on June 4 was shocked multiple times with a stun gun by a female attacker wearing a surgical cap and cloth
gloves.
The woman's baby was born healthy shortly after the attack.
