Woman Injured, 2 Sons Dead In Baltimore Home Invasion
BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- A deadly home invasion rocks a usually quiet neighborhood. Now police are searching for a group of gunmen.

As the search for suspects in this double murder continues, the West Baltimore community where it happened is on alert.
There was a massive police presence about 9:30 p.m. Tuesday in the 2500-block of Lafayette Avenue in West Baltimore. Police were summoned to a report of a home invasion and shots fired; they arrived to a scene of horror.
"It's definitely disconcerting. You know, this is just a block away," said Dr. John Bullock, president of the Evergreen Protective Association.
Investigators say a 48-year-old mother and her two sons, 23-year-old Allen Horton and 19-year-old Darian Horton, were victims of a home invasion. Police say the breach of their home escalated when all three were shot. They were taken to Shock Trauma. The brothers were both shot in the upper torso. One of them died about 10:11 p.m. and the other was pronounced dead at 5:20 a.m. Wednesday. The mother was shot in the face and hand and survived.
"We do not believe that this was a random incident," said Sgt. Anthony Smith, Baltimore City Police.
"It's crazy. I mean, nothing around here like that has happened around here that I've heard of. Nothing like it," said resident Robert Jacobs.
Residents in the neighborhood are heartbroken over what happened to the family, but there's also a determination to take action.
Bullock believes residents have to communicate with each other and police in hopes of preventing crime.
"We do have block captains but we could use a whole lot more. We could definitely use more eyes on the street and more communication, not only within the neighborhood, but with police as well," he said.
