Woman Enters Guilty Plea For Random Stabbing In Md. Parking Lot
UPPER MARLBORO, Md. (AP) -- Prince George's County prosecutors say a woman accused of randomly stabbing a woman in a parking lot has entered into a plea agreement.
The State's Attorney's office says Antoinette Starks entered a plea Wednesday of guilty to a charge of attempted first-degree murder. As part of her plea she was found not criminally responsible for her actions and has been committed indefinitely to the custody of the Department of Health and Mental Hygiene.
Starks was arrested in October 2011 on charges that she attacked a woman in the parking lot of Target in Springdale.
She was initially declared incompetent to stand trial, but was deemed competent for trial in March.
