Woman Dies Of Injuries From October House Fire
BALTIMORE (AP) -- Officials say a woman has died of injuries sustained in a house fire in Baltimore.
The Fire Department said Friday that Louise Helmick, 66, died Nov. 7 at the burn center at Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center. She had been taken there suffering from second-degree burns and smoke inhalation in a fire on Oct. 24 in her home.
Officials say the early morning fire broke out in the rowhouse in the Pigtown neighborhood. Helmick and another occupant were rescued from the fire.
The cause of the blaze remains under investigation.
