Woman Dies After Townhome Fire In Anne Arundel County
MILLERSVILLE, Md. (WJZ) -- A woman dies from injuries related to a fire in Crofton.
Firefighters responded to a reported fire at a two-story townhome in the 1800 block of Foxdale Court Tuesday afternoon.
Crews reported seeing smoke on the second floor and found 52-year-old Patricia Hart inside.
Hart was initially treated for serious, life-threatening injuries at Anne Arundel Medical Center in Annapolis and was later transferred to the Bayview Burn Center in Baltimore.
Hart died later in the hospital.
It is the third fire death in Anne Arundel County this year.
Nearly two dozen firefighters worked to put out that fire. It is estimated that the blaze caused $60,000 in damages.
There were no working smoke alarms in the residence.
