Woman Convicted In Fatal Hit-And-Run
WASHINGTON (AP) -- A Maryland woman has been convicted of negligent homicide in a hit-and-run crash that killed a woman near Dupont Circle.
Jorida Davidson, 31, of Chevy Chase was also found guilty Tuesday of leaving the scene of a collision involving injury and driving while under the influence of alcohol. She will be sentenced in September.
According to prosecutors, Kiela Ryan, 24, was getting out of her car on Oct. 7 when Davidson hit her and kept on driving.
Ryan died at a hospital.
