Woman Charged With Carjacking In Cumberland
CUMBERLAND, Md. (AP) -- Cumberland police say a Baltimore woman carjacked a vehicle in a parking lot.
Diana Lynn Vaught, 47, is charged with assault, carjacking and other offenses. She is being held pending a bail review.
Police say about 7:50 p.m. Tuesday, Vaught tried to carjack a vehicle but fled when the victim grabbed her and yelled for help.
Police say Vaught then walked across the street and got into a car in which a woman was sitting. Officers say Vaught grabbed the woman's keys and said she would shoot her.
Police say the woman got out of the car and Vaught drove off. A police officer stopped the car shortly afterward.
