Woman Charged After Removing 'Black Lives Matter' Sign At Annapolis Church

ANNAPOLIS, Md. (WJZ) -- A 56-year-old woman was charged with destruction of property after she removed a "Black Lives Matter" sign at an Annapolis church.

According to Anne Arundel County police, Chari Raye McLean of Admiral Drive in Annapolis, told police she removed the sign at St. Phillips Episcopal Church at 730 Bestgate Road in Annapolis without permission because she did not believe in their motto.

She says she supports "Blue Lives Matter" and "All Lives Matter" mottos instead.

McLean was charged with Destruction of Property on a criminal citation.
