Woman Charged After Daughter Dies In Car Crash
SALISBURY, Md. (AP) -- A Pennsylvania woman has been charged in the death of her 11-year-old daughter after police say she ran her vehicle off the Salisbury bypass while impaired by drugs.
State police tell The Daily Times of Salisbury that the girl was not wearing a seat belt and was ejected from the vehicle, which overturned on the southbound Route 13 Bypass Sunday afternoon.
Police say Tabitha Dobrzynski, 38, of New Kensington, Pa., was the driver. Her three other children were passengers in the car. No one else was seriously injured.
Police say Dobrzynski showed signs of impairment at the accident scene and at the hospital afterward.
She's been charged with negligent manslaughter by motor vehicle and drug possession, among other offenses.
Court records do not list an attorney for her.
