Woman Carjacked At Md. Metro Stop
WASHINGTON (AP) -- Metro Transit police are searching for a man they say carjacked a woman at the New Carrollton Metro stop.
Police say the incident occurred in the station's parking garage at roughly 5:30 a.m. on Sunday. Police say the woman had parked her Toyota Rav4 on the first floor of the garage and was getting her child out of the car's back seat when a man approached and brandished a gun. Police say the man told the woman to leave her purse in the car and exit the vehicle with her child. Police say the man then fled with the vehicle.
Police say the woman and child were unharmed.
