Woman Accused Of Leaving Kids To Commit Robbery

ODENTON, Md. (AP) -- Anne Arundel County police say a woman left her five young children alone in an Odenton hotel room while she committed a robbery.

Tameka Wright, 35, has been charged with robbery and five counts of confining an unattended child.

Police say on Saturday, Wright and James Reid, 22, of Baltimore entered a man's hotel room uninvited. Officers say Reid pushed the man on the bed and demanded money. Police say the victim gave Reid cash and his cell phone, and Reid and Wright left the room.

The Capital of Annapolis reports that the victim saw the two go into another room. Officers say they obtained a room key from an employee, went in and found five children, ages 4 months, and 1, 3, 4 and 6 years, unattended inside.
