Woman, 20, Dies After Being Shot In Prince George's
CAPITOL HEIGHTS, Md. (AP) -- Prince George's County police say a 20-year-old woman has died after being shot near a nightclub in Capitol Heights.
Police say Jasmine Jerona Banks, of District Heights, and a male were found suffering from gunshot wounds in the 7900 block of Central Avenue early Monday. Deputy Chief Kevin Davis says Banks was shot in the head and was taken to a hospital in critical condition. She died Tuesday afternoon.
The man suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was also taken to a hospital.
Authorities say they are working to identify a suspect and motive in the shootings.
